Older construction means a proper recess around the window and solid wall above it. A track can be wall-fixed rather than ceiling-fixed, a pelmet or cornice is possible without building anything, and the curtain can hang inside the reveal so it sits flush with the wall line. None of that is available in a modern tower, and it is why Al Barsha rooms often look more finished for less money.

It is a window count, not a window
A five or six bedroom villa here regularly has fifteen to twenty openings once you include the majlis, the stair landing and the back rooms. That changes the conversation entirely. The per-window price matters far less than the total, and the total is usually larger than people expect for a house that is not remotely a mansion.

Rooms tend to get done at different times
Families live in these houses for years, so the living room was done at one point, the master a while later, the children’s rooms after that. Left alone, a house ends up with four fabric decisions made by four different versions of the same person. That is a solvable problem and it is what the next section is about.

Yes, and most families here do. We measure the whole villa on the first visit regardless, and keep the specification on file so a room ordered later still matches the ones already done.
Often, and we will be straight with you when we cannot. Dye lots shift over time, so a fabric can still be in production and read slightly differently. If the difference will show in daylight, we would rather redo both than hand you a near-match.
The opposite. A deep reveal lets the curtain hang flush with the wall line and supports a pelmet without any building work. It is one of the advantages of an older villa.
Ask for a whole-house quote. Per-window pricing stops being useful at that volume, and seeing the total lets you phase it sensibly rather than guessing.
