Privacy By Day Is Not Privacy At Night
A sheer works on contrast. In daylight it is brighter outside than in, so the weave screens you. After dark that reverses, and a lit room reads straight through the same fabric. Promenade-level units need a dense day sheer with a lined curtain behind it, because no single layer covers both conditions.

The Window Over The Staircase
Duplex units in Al Muneera and Al Zeina usually carry a tall window above the internal stair, and there is no safe way to draw it by hand. We either hang a fixed sheer panel, which needs no operation at all, or run a single motorised track. What we will not fit is a cord over a stairwell.

Sliding Doors That Still Have To Work
A balcony track needs to run about thirty centimetres past the opening edge, or the stack sits over the door and you fight the fabric every time you step out. We set the hem a centimetre or two clear of the threshold and weight it, so the breeze off the water cannot wrap it around the handle.

What Fails First On A Water-Facing Unit
On re-curtaining jobs here the face fabric is often fine and the lining has gone. Sun on the water side breaks the lining down first, then gliders stiffen with salt and the cord frays. We can frequently reline an existing curtain and replace the track for well under the cost of a new set.
Corners, Curves And Returns
Plenty of Al Raha living rooms turn a corner or wrap a structural column, and a straight track leaves a gap exactly where you wanted cover. We use bendable aluminium track, formed on site to the actual angle, rather than ordering a shape to a drawing that never quite matches the wall.
There is a limit to how far that goes. A bend tighter than roughly a ten centimetre radius makes gliders catch, and the curtain will stall at the corner every time you draw it. Past that point we split the run into two tracks with a centre overlap, which draws better and lasts longer.
Corner runs also need the stack planned carefully, because there is often no wall left to park the fabric on. We usually take it onto the shortest leg of the corner so the main view stays clear, and we agree that with you at the measure before any track is bent.
